It is also a sealant to keep in moisture and reduces static electricity. On the reverse side you can over condition the hair making the waxy layers weighed down the hair leaving hair looking limp. For best results do not put the conditioner on your scalp and living hair follicles, apply a small amount of conditioner along the length of your hair to the ends.
